UNLV Beverly Rogers Literature and Law Building
Las Vegas, NV
The Beverly Rogers Literature and Law Building was built in 1981 and is situated in the center of UNLV’s campus. During the programming phase, numerous possibilities were analyzed, and the final design solutions addressed existing structural and mechanical limitations, funding strategy options, space limitations, cost estimate impacts, and overall project goals. Each of the end users (Honors College, English Department, and Black Mountain Institute) had a specific identity. The design team worked with each group to translate their unique attributes, aesthetic preferences, and program requirements into spaces that reflected their respective cultures. Each department was provided customized programming – a variety of spaces that also incorporated the latest technology and UNLV design guidelines.
