Sletten Construction Office
Las Vegas, NV
Sletten Construction purchased a building in Downtown Las Vegas that previously was occupied by the FBI, hoping to transform it into their new headquarters. They approached Simpson Coulter Studio not only because of our existing relationship as collaborators and partners on previous projects but also because they wanted to retain an architect with office design experience. The main objectives for this project were to rework the facades so that they responded to the Downtown Las Vegas vibe (as mandated by the design standards in the Downtown Centennial Plan Overlay District), balance the floors that would be occupied by the offices, provide a new roof design, and develop an appropriate parking scheme for the building. The programming exercise was completed parallel to conceptual design, where the design team confirmed spatial needs and developed multiple options for layouts that corresponded with these needs. The design of the office spaces themselves focus on a modern aesthetic that also infuses the space with Sletten’s brand and culture.
