The Tropicana Parking Garage was a design-build with the University’s goals for the project at the forefront of decision-making: UNLV wanted a clean and strong architectural image that incorporated optimal functionality. The overall design is efficient and accommodates smooth traffic flow. The double ramping system handles traffic flow in such a way that the entire facility can be evacuated in 30 minutes at full capacity. The footprint of the garage takes into consideration the future Phase II parking deck expansion to the south and the potential transit center to the north.
