Best Buy offered the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District a grant that would fund the renovation and transformation of an existing classroom in Clark County Library into a teen tech center. The goal of the space is to engage the library’s teenage patrons in the technology of today and to allow them to incorporate their newfound knowledge into the workforce. The space is equipped with a recording and editing studio that teens may use to familiarize themselves with the technology associated with audio/video recording and editing. It is also a makerspace in which teens are encouraged to interact, exchange ideas, and be creative using the technology provided.
